I so badly wanted to love this book, but there is just too many details. I felt like I was trudging through a swamp of useless details just to get something to happen. Tried to read this twice and couldn’t get into it this one. Sad Kenda.

After all the hype that there was on this book, I did not enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I honestly did enjoy much of this book, in saying that I do sometimes have a hard time listening to fantasy, but I keep trying as I don't have the time to read a physical or ebook. I will most likely try again later as an ebook to see if I enjoy it more.

I really wanted to like this more than I did :( it was so long and not needed in my opinion, I felt like 60% of the book was filler chapters with nothing happening and the rest the story took place. I found myself desperate just to get to the end because it was dragging. I will say the characters are what made this book a three star instead of a two star, they were all unique and different!

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS AHH!! It was so good! It did take me a while to get into as it is pretty slow paced and I did feel it was dragging at some points, but overall I loved it!!
