I have had a very rocky relationship with the entire series having found it alternately utterly childish interspersed with moments of gushing over its fantastical whimsical intricately created time loops and their peculiar worlds. I wished I had read this in my teens. Perhaps then I would have adored the story so much more.
The characters are lovable, albeit quite predictable throughout. The moral turns very plain and without much ingenuity. The evil characters fail to inspire a lot of derision and seem mostly following a standard script.
However, the magic of the world lets you get lost in them awhile and the haunting photographs following the story lends that luscious eerie taste that the series is well known for. Overall an ok read.

There was so much action throughout this one. My anxiety was through the roof. Non-stop adventure! I am curious to see where things go. I just hope my heart can handle all the twists and turns.
