This was very painful to finish. The book tries to cover major world conflict zones in just 280 pages, resulting in rather shallow descriptions, none of the problems are covered in detail. If you read newspapers or watch news on a regular basis, then I don't recommend buying this book, it's a waste of money. However in case you would like a quick and brief overview of the current global political situation, this is the thing to read. And that's basically my second my reprimand - this book will become outdated very quickly.

A super interesting book that really gives a brief overview of some of the major political and cultural divides, both current and historic. Highly recommend. It made me realise there are huge parts of the world where I know very little about their history and cultural battles and barriers.
