Had to re-read this after reading Eligible. I still prefer Sense and Sensibility.

Pride and prejudice is an incredible book and it’s amazing to see how the writing style of Jane Austen is still so relevant.
Elisabeth was so irreverent for the time, so headstrong and yet she is so modern nowadays. Her sarcasm and cleverness would make her the perfect heroin of any modern-day romance book.

started the movie.
the hand-flex gave me wild butterflies, and so we had to stop the movie so i could read the book.

my whole heart for a misunderstood shy boy. especially one who falls first.

We neither of us, perform to strangers.

I got 70% in and had to DNF. Jane Austen obviously can write well but this story is so bloody boring. Maybe I’m uncultured

I feel like I was supposed to like this better than I did.

My all-time favorite, Pride and Prejudice is the classic that everyone should read. Elizabeth's relationship with Mr. Darcy is one that is often talked about, and one still appeals, even though the book is quite old already. The romance plot and Elizabeth's character both really appeal to me.

I treated myself to a special edition with hand printed letters inside as artifacts, and it was a lovely reading experience for a re-read.
