This is an interesting book that doesn't really have a lot of action. It's really about Carol and the struggles within her mind to battle between the traditional views of everyone in the small town she moves to versus the new ideas and good intentions she has to make things better for people in the town. I found myself relating to Carol and this internal struggle. Having lived in Minnesota it was interesting to catch some of the connections in the book to things I remember there.

Writing conveys no emotion/feeling. Character interaction is sterile, contractual, matter of fact. Nothing about the proposed storyline intrigues me.
