The world building is neat, and I love his relationship with his dog.

The only thing that kept me going was the bonkers fast pace, it was also the only thing this book had going for it.

I'm salty because I only read this book because a site tagged it as Queer and in fact this is Aggressively Heterosexual.

There's absolutely no tension in this book because Atticus has an answer for everything and he almost can't be hurt by anything. Being inside his head was not a very interesting or pleasant. The amount of info dumping character motivations, backstories and plot threads into dialogue was not satisfying and just made for a lot of magical jargon.

I definitely won't be reading on.
