Yeah, this book is not it. I'm usually down for mafia stories and enemies to lovers but not this time. Santiago is probably the worst love interest ever, he's actually violent towards Ivy, he's constantly giving her bruises and treating her like shit. And after a while you're like "well okay, when is their relationship going to change or move forward?". I won't judge Ivy for forgiving him and trying or whatever but this is written in a very romanticized way and I hate that. And don't even get me started about the spice. It's impossible to enjoy because it doesn't feel consensual, he's kinda forcing it all the time and using sex as a punishment. I mean if you're in to that then give it a go, but this is a no no for me.
