It was really good, I just love the fact that Judy was finding so many ways to get famous but none of them worked but 1, Judy Moody the Phantom doll doctor!

This is a great continuation of the Judy Moody series.
A quick, but entertaining read, filled with humorous stories of how Judy tried to get famous.
I love Judy's character and how McDonald allows her to feel all sorts of emotions (not just happy), teaching kids that it is okay to be in a bad mood sometimes.
Very simple, but extremely funny.

It's an amazing book for a young girl. It explains her world.. I strated reading the books when I was 9 and I could easily imagine, myself being Judy.

Judy wants to be famous. Wants desperately to as well known Jessica Finch, who is the spelling queen of North Virginia. As famous as her brother who has met the President. So Judy sets out to find a way to get her name in the paper. And given that this is Judy, she fails spectacularly along the way. But can Judy learn that the becoming famous is less important than she thinks?

Nice second volume that is full crazy situations that readers have come to expect. Author Megan McDonald also manages to put a very nice message into the book, without beating the reader over the head.

Again my 7 year old enjoyed reading Judy Moody before bed. The story about the third grader doing whatever she could to be famous actually showed kindness and compassion for others. On to book 3!

#2 in the Judy Moody series.

judy Moody is jealous when her annoying classmate, Jessica Finch, gets her picture in the newspaper. Judy is in a jealous mood and sets out to show Jessica who is REALLY famous. Judy's schemes get her bad publicity until she decides to fix up the battered dolls from the hospital. Doctor Judy just may get into the paper after all...
