3⭐️ going into this one after corrupt I really didn’t know how I’d feel. Kai and Banks are… something else? After what happened in book one how do I continue reading about these horrible men? Easy, just do it and I did. Banks being a baddie badass was hard for me at first but as it went on it got easier. I wanted to strangle her throughout tho because so serious with me banks, you know your brother Damon is crazy over protective borderline creepy abusive brotherly… right? Kai is lowkey a sweetie I just knew it and I really did enjoy the storyline of how they met and reconnected together. But let’s talk about how he checked on Rika first after the fight between her and banks. Like you aren’t asking YOUR GIRL if she’s okay first???? I’d end it there. Personally bye. But then him being like go to the mall and take my card and spend however much I’ll let you know when I get the bank alerts if it’s too high. YES SIR. The whole book leading up for Damon to quite literally murder them for whatever that ending was? Very anticlimactic imo but can’t wait for his book which was the whole reason I started the series.

Kai Mori :)))) wowwww. But yeah the ending seemed rushed. Chemistry hit strong until the end I got confused. Oh well onto the next one

at first i thought i won't like kai. i didnt like him in the first book so i just wanted to read this one because of kill switch. but then after about 30-40 percent of the book i was hooked. i love it. he is a little possesive but he was always there for banks even when she always choose damon and even when he didn't know he was her brother. he was really sweet and caring. also reading about damons and banks relationship was interesting. it was weird and sad but adorable in its own way. they have really traumatizing and sad back story and you can feel their pain reading it.
i could better understand damons actions here.
it was shown how insecure he was and how he really loved them all but was so damage from his mother.
kai and banks are really similar and are great together. they get each other and they were really adorable.
love it.
still hate when other readers make edits like "father kai" ick
oh and when they the ... you know, it felt really comforting. like every other similar scene from other books that i read felt different, more scary lets say and tense but this just felt safe.
