The back and forth banter between Kid and Han is my favorite! I love a book that grabs your attention, has the right amount of spice but also makes you laugh a lot!

Okay Iā€™m officially a huge @jescie.hall fan.

From #thatsikluv, to #hawke, to #kid. Iā€™m obsessed!! I couldnā€™t pick a favorite either if I wanted to!

Although kid has done somethings to my heart. Itā€™s allowed me to discover and confront parts of myself I didnā€™t know where there. It gave me a look into addiction, and I felt I could understand my brother better by this book. I honestly really admire Han/Johannaā€¦ and I feel like we all deserve to have someone fight for us and love is the way we need like Kid does for Han.

Really enjoyed this read

For those of you that have read Hawke or have it on your TBR: Iā€™ve read all of Jescieā€™s books this year, but my favorite has to be her book Kid. Kid is a contemporary romance with dark themes. However, sometimes I forgot it was a dark book because of how much the main character Kid (Kai) made me laugh. His inner dialogue and the words that spill out of his mouth had me rolling on the floor! The main female lead, Han, is elusive and battles many mental demons. Their story is absolutely unique and Iā€™ve never read anything else like it!

The raw emotions this book pulled from the depths within me is what makes this book the book that changed my life this year.

My review is simple: you just need to read the book. Please.

Phenomenal. Loved both MCs and their arch. So raw and emotional.Ā Top 10, for sure.

I did not read Hawke. I wish I would have before reading this book. Now you do not have to read Hawke before reading Kid but i feel that I missed out on some of the background that would have been nice to know. I loved that this book was told from Kids perspective. The FMC Han (Jo/Johanna) did have a few chapters at then in her POV but it was refreshing and different to have almost the entire book narrated by the MMC. This book does have a lot of drug use to be warned that if you are sensitive to that kind of content this is not the book for you. This book the characters use a lot. This book was different and refreshing then the other dark romance I have read throughout the year and I definitely will be moving Hawke up my TBR and reading it a lot more sooner then I orginally intended. Happy reading!
