I stayed up til 3:30am finishing it in one day! WOW!! What a woman Alice DuBois must have been...and this was in 1915!!! I always dreamed of being a spy or an FBI agent but my mom always told me that women didn’t belong in those fields. Even when I was 18 (1995), I signed up for the army but my parents would not sign off because my parents felt it was “a mans job”! So inspiring as a woman that you can be anything you want to be and I will keep it so my 4 year old daughter will be able to read it when she is in high school.

A captivating and warm-hearted story, even with the War taking place. The author captured the characters in a way, that it made them feel like my friends. The ending was up lifting and I catch myself smiling to myself reminiscing about these strong, courageous women!

Totally Engrossing! #unputdownable

Not my typical kind of book

Charlie's storyline was the weaker of the two
Good depiction of PTSD and consequences of war

A bit too long, lost interest

Narrator; good job

Eve's portion was great, Charlie's was okay. Quinn does a great job entwining their stories. Charlie's savior complex got repetitive and everything with Charlie and Finn was annoyingly unrealistic, but overall still a good book.

Really good, scratches the historical fiction itch. I liked the way the author alternated every other chapter between the 2 women/time periods.
