I was really looking forward to reading this book and hopefully learning more about my own love language and my fiance's love language. This book explores the five different love languages as defined by Gary Chapman. Through personal anecdotes and stories Gary has seen from those around him, Gary is able to define each love language, share how best to show love to your partner in their preferred way of receiving love, and how to help your partner understand your own love language needs. There is also a helpful quiz in the back that can help you and your partner uncover what your own love languages are.
This book definitely has some faults to it, and it pushes to preach a Christian message of marriage, but if you sift past that, I think this book has some helpful information to better communicate with your partner. I do wish the book was written to be more inclusive, and not a "traditional" man working all day at a job and a woman who runs the household. I did really appreciate the bare bones of the message about open communication and speaking to your partner's preferred love language.
