This is such a good way to approach the self-help genre. It’s completely avoiding the toxic positivity route that too many take on.
Tara is hilarious and has so much courage and vulnerability. Even when I couldn’t relate to her trauma , I kept finding gems if knowledge and hearing myself saying—- yessss I can’t wait to recommend this to this client or this client ( I’m a life coach ) her humor and insight and awareness felt refreshing. Our journeys are always ongoing and it’s good to never feel arrived
Thanks Tara and Netgalley for the arc.

Read because I liked the title and related to a summary I read that described “a woman who loses her mind in the pandemic.” Like, same—but I didn’t realize it would be super self-help focused which is on me hah

This book is why I now own a sparkly purple fountain pen filled with beautiful pink ink - it reminds me that we are all made of stardust and that we all glow. And that I'm worth the high quality tools.
There are some great sections in this book, particularly around Journaling and your Future Me.

I listened to this book via Libby, and had to order it to have my own personal copy.
I’m usually not one to rate memoir/nonfiction books, because who am I to judge someone’s story. However, the laughter, tears, and personal reflections this book sparked, instant 5 stars.

Read this based on a bad recommendation (it was painted in a more metaphysical light to me). Finished it only because I am a stubborn completionist.
Whoops.
Not sure what made this worse: The “Hey Girlfriend!” voice (which I am so very, very tired of) or the constant plugging of her other book.
Reads like Rachel Hollis. Not a compliment. Oozes with privilege.
