So I technically started this in December but just... wasn't in the right mood. Picked it up again today and flew threw it. I really enjoyed it, honestly. There's a lot of "why won't people just COMMUNICATE!" but it's handled well, and not in a super annoying way. I enjoyed the magic and the tension and, of course, the perfectly right hints of romance. Love a nice pleasant romance that doesn't jump right into insta-love!

This was such a surprise hit for me! Couldn’t decide what to read so picked the oldest book on my kindle (which I’m pretty sure I only got on a whim as part of the free kindle first reads) and I loved it! Really interesting yet easy to grasp magic system, and I loved the setting of like old-timey England. Elsie was such a fun main character and Bacchus was great too. And after that cliffhanger ending I need to immediately be reading the next one!
