the narrator is incredibly unreliable and the best aspect of this book, story, and narration is that the main character begins to unravel as you continue to read on.

While away at a summer college program, 17 year old Hannah’s roommate ends up in the hospital after a freak accident. Hannah swears she had nothing to do with it, but ends up being taken to a mental institution anyway. Hannah knows she doesn’t belong, so why do the doctors have her labeled as “a danger to herself and others”? Hannah must work, with the help of her roommate Lucy, on making
sure the doctors believe she isn’t crazy and that she had nothing to do with Agnes’s accident.
This was a 3.5 ⭐️ read for me. It held my interest and stayed consistent. The reason I ranked it on the lower side was because I guessed the big plot twist pretty early on in the book, so there wasn’t anything to look forward to.

would have given this a better rating if it weren’t so predictable and if important aspects of hannah’s life were discussed during her counseling sessions. wish there was more inclusion of sessions, in general, actually. still an enjoyable read with good writing.

I had a hard time getting into it in the beginning, but it was easy for me to get invested as the story went on. It was unpredictable, and I could not put it down because I just wanted to find out what had happened.
