The great Canadian graphic novel, it is an exploration of what people will put up with when they need to take care of themselves, and how others will take advantage of those because of their lack of resources.

I happened to be listening to Books Unbound while in the Newark airport and stopped to waste some time in an (actually decent) bookstore there. And what do you know it, Ariel talks about reading this graphic memoir recently. I like graphic memoirs, it sounds interesting, so I double back on the graphic novel section just to see if they have it — and I end up buying a big, heavy hardcover on a whim. Glad I did — read half in the airport last night and finished it today.

Would highly recommend.
