I received an ARC for an honest review.

While not what I usually read due to it being in a males POV, and that's rare in books, it was pretty great. When I started reading, after I few chapters in I was like, oh it's a bit like Tangled by Emma Chase, fun, flirty, and an inner workings of how a male feels which tends to be similar but different to a males perspective.

It's different only having the males POV, even than when you read a book with a dual male and female POV, you don't stick in their head the whole time and you miss certain things in their thought process.

It's a little slow going for me mainly because it was so different to my little niche I've made for myself in my contemporary romance books, but once I got into it, which took me on and off until 50% where my interest took off and I finished the book in hours, I loved it and didn't put it down. Now just because I say it took me 50% to get into it doesn't mean anything bad, in fact it was my own self that was putting off my enjoyment whilst reading because looking back now, I loved every moment.

No, I was unfortunately in the mood for smut, and due to this lovely man being on a hiatus from sex until he fell in love, I needed to chuck a few erotica books in so I put this down and came back.

The writing was great, the story was amazing. Nothing makes me happier than a story of someone lost finding their way, and this ended up being two people who had to find themselves in order to be happy. It's got some terribly sad moments in it, and some incredibly funny parts. I was not disappointed!

For a book about a sex addict called wet this book isn’t as steamy as I expected. But it was sweet and funny and I really liked the writing. Paul (although I changed his name to peter in my head because paul is my dads name and it was creeping me out) seemed really young at first. I had to go back and check that he was in fact 30. It had a bit of a Mrs Robertson vibe to it, which isn’t really my thing, so I’m not sure how much I like Elle. But this was a nice light read and I would be interested in reading something else by the author because the writing was really good. I just think the genre wasn’t really my thing.

I REALLY loved this book! The hero Paul is the perfect book boyfriend and has now made my top list. The heroine Elle was sassy and I loved her as well. This book was very funny and I even teared up at parts. I wish the book kept going on. I could read about the characters forever.

Wow.... The rollercoster of emotions in this book.
Paul and Elle are so perfect for eachother.
I both loved and hated how much time and work it took for them to realize it.
They keep you guessing through most of the book but it is worth the ride.

19% DNF.

Characters had no real dynamic. The chick was inappropriate (like if someone legit has a problem, you need to honor that and not be trying to sabotage them).

Dialogue was cheesy. Just couldn’t hang.

description

I am pleasantly surprised how much I liked this book! In the beginning I had to get into the book but I continued and am very happy I did because I am known to DNF a book if it doesn't pique my interest right away. This book went a whole other direction than I expected it to go. I was expecting a more erotica type of book with a LOT of sex, but I was happy that wasn't the case. It had a very unique story-line that I enjoyed reading. The writing is great!

The main character Paul is swoon-worthy, he is a recovering sex addict who has an amazing self control. Elle really pushed all his buttons, I really loved reading about these two characters. Paul is not having any sex and Elle wants to finally explore her sexuality, I was feeling both their frustrations. Paul was such a great friend and did so much for Elle when she was struggling with things. I would love to find my own Paul: he is sweet, considerate, honest and super HOT. I also enjoyed reading about his parents, brother and sister. Such a great group of people. I'll definitely be checking out Ruth's other books!

Absolute garbage

It's like the author specifically set out to write a book with all the cliche bad dialogue agree referenced in the book. Everything was incredibly transparent the entire time. I can't even find the right words to express how much this sucked. Sorry to be rough on you, Ruth, but one star for the effort.

This story was fun to read. It was light and funny at times
Paul is a recovering sex addict. When he meets Elle he is immediately attracted to her. Elle is only interested in casual hook ups while he is trying to find the right woman to date.
Will they give in to their attraction or will they find others to complete their very different goals?
I liked the writing style. It was flowing easily and the characters were animated and vivid.
I do think that it could have wrapped up a lot sooner but other than that, I think that romance lovers will enjoy it.
3.5 to 4 Stars from me.
I received a copy of this book in exchange of my honest review.

A frustrating DNF for me at 55%. I have loved some of this author's other work.
