This book hooked me from the beginning. I just couldn’t put it down. I fell for these characters and, what a story just perfect.

This one is not as good nor as clean cut as the first book. In fact, this story is a messy one about the older perfect pair cousins, Scott & Jack, that chose to live separate lives. Instead of trusting their folklore and awaiting their fated mate, they forged different paths that led to years of misery and failed marriages. Unfortunately I did not like how it was the FMC’s job to “fix” them. All of their emotional messes were dumped onto her and the book was too short to navigate all of the nuances; it felt incomplete as a result. There is plenty of spice but also a foray into the miscommunication trope- which drives me insane.

really wanted to like this one? i will say it left me reading but it wasn’t satisfying? unsure if that makes sense. happy to see positive fat rep but some of the ways the characters spoke of their exes was gross. I get the whole point was evil exes vs their true mate, but that really turned me off the book. I would have given it three stars if the grammar had been better and the ending was stronger.

This is a shifter romance and also a second chance at finding love. I really enjoyed this book. I was glad to see main characters that are in their mid-thirties and older. Jack and Scott are twins and lion shifters. They never believed in the tail of the perfect pair. A pair of twins that are each other’s opposites that make them the perfect mate for one woman. They both tried love and ended up divorced. Then their is Ashleigh grabs their attention the second they see here. But she also has been hurt in a divorce and knows nothing of shifters. The story explains things very well and really takes in account of the feelings of each of the characters. Fate definitely knew what it was doing when it brought the three of them together.
