So far behind in this series! Another great read despite the issues with Scribd crashing every 25 mins... grrr!

Another fantastic unexpected roller coaster ride of murder and mystery from one of the best!!! Although I figured out the culprit, the why and the journey to confirm my suspicions was fantastic!

#3 in Taylor Jackson series. Taylor is in the middle of a storm of murder, manipulation, power, & control. On the case of a murdered woman sets events from the past and present colliding into a complex investigation which puts Taylor and Baldwin in the cross hairs of of two killers. Blindsiding her, the OPA chief wants her badge and kicked off the force. Juggling everything, Taylor may or may not live to the end of her case.

I enjoyed this, although I feel that the initial crime got lost amongst the personal circumstances of the main characters.

2+ stars for me; probably much higher for most crime/detective/thriller readers (most GR raters gave it 4 or 5 stars).

IN SHORT: Judas Kiss is adequate and sometimes compelling, with regards to the initial murder. But the subplots push it toward "eye roll" territory.

Will you guess the identity of the murderer, from a growing pool of suspects? Read and see.

This is the second of Ellison's books that I have read. I am getting the gist that her storytelling is more about the main character's life than it is about actual crime solving ala Janet Evanovich. The crimes that the books start out with have a really good premise and if she invested more time in fleshing out those parts of the story rather than focusing on the "life" of Taylor Jackson (I think that's her name, unfortunately even after two books I care so little about this character I have a hard time remembering her name even though I just finished this book about a half hour ago), these novels could be really excellent mystery/thrillers. That being said, this is an easy, fast read and I will more likely than not read another because they are a good palate cleanser for in between the more literary works I often read.
