I have mixed feelings about the Apple Orchard. I would recommend it to an avid chick lit reader who loves history integrated through out the story. However there was just something that threw me off. On one hand, I liked the overall story, a woman finds out she has a family that has a history, throw in a little romance, awesome food, and a treasure hunt, sounds exciting right? Well... yes and no... Perhaps I wanted more of the treasure hunt and less romance. Perhaps I was hoping it would be more fast paced. Perhaps the main character was interesting but not my favorite....

Really enjoyed this one. My first book by her but I will definitely read more. A nice romance with a little family history mystery thrown in. Perfect light, quick, summer read.

Connected with the character some and thought I knew where a heirloom was just to find out it wasn't where I thought. Good book. Liked it.

This was my mom's favorite book and I started to read it while she was in the hospital and before we knew her prognosis so we could discuss something besides her health. I read the majority of it while I sat next to her in the hospital during the last week of her life. I wasn't ready to finish it until now but I will always treasure it. She was so happy I was reading it. When I asked her why it was her favorite book, she stated she loved the flashbacks. It is well written and I enjoyed the storytelling. I loved the characters and their development.

I was not expecting the stories that unfolded throughout the book. That’s said in the best way possible. I listened to it on audiobooks and was so intrigued. I don’t want to say what it’s about because I want you to be just as surprised as I was. A must read! Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
