It took me too long to read because the first half was very slow moving. It could have been edited down maybe 100 pages or so. I did love the world it took place in but that’s what I liked the most about it.

This was a fun book to read. I enjoyed the mystery and drama. The characters and their relationships fell flat to me, but I hope my issues with that will be resolved in the next books of the series. I really liked the setting, world building and the unique magic system.
