Great addition to the series and the first one to have a really long story rather than the daily comic-strip style. I thought it was done well and I look forward to more books in the series that give Phoebe and Marigold and the rest of the kids.

Another super-cute addiction to this series. This book is actually one long story vs just a bunch of comics together. I really liked the overall theme of friendship and jealousy and getting along.

And also Sue and Ringo. I’d totally read a whole book of their hijinks, together or separate.

It took me awhile to get into the flow of a Phoebe and Marigold book with a story (rather than the usual hilarious collection of comics) but I really enjoyed it, aside from the brutally unfair description of Monopoly which is one of the greatest board games of all time.

Not as funny as some other books in the series but I LOVED the story!

3.5 stars. This story is one long arc instead of a collection of comics about a variety of topics (like in Unicorn of Many Hats which I enjoyed a lot). It's fairly serious in the scheme of things as Phoebe is jealous of the time Marigold is spending with her sister, and Marigold's sister shares some of why it has been important for the sisters to spend time together. While the story is good, is well told, and deals with things that kids can relate to, the difference in tone was a surprise for me. I think if readers know going in that this is a more serious story - and more of a "graphic novel" which tells one story instead of a comics collection - they will enjoy it. If they go in expecting the laughs that they have enjoyed in other books in this series (like I did), they might be disappointed.
