La primera mitad del libro me gustó mucho, marqué citas y hasta párrafos enteros, el estilo de la pluma de Babitz me pareció hermoso, atractivo, como si intentara seducirte. Y en mi caso lo logró, al menos por un rato. Pero a mitad de camino se perdió la magia, no sé, empecé a aburrirme. Después de cincuenta, sesenta páginas de fiestas, paseos en auto y la descripción número doscientos setenta y cuatro del paisaje de Los Ángeles fui perdiendo el interés; todo se volvió un tanto reiterativo y monótono, sin rumbo.
Hubo fragmentos que realmente disfruté y frases que me encantaron, pero dudo volver a leer Slow Days, Fast Company a menos que sea por alguna razón específica.
