If you find yourself relating to these keywords in a positive sense, you should read this novella as soon as possible: “Sanderson storytelling / Neo Noir / Matrix / Inception / Crime / Sci-Fi / Philosophy”
I could write an essay on masterful layering of the story despite book length, few original and some not so original ideas explored in pretty original ways, great pacing and thought provoking premises.
HOW IS THIS STILL NOT A MOVIE? (Nolan is the only director who could manage directing this story I’m pretty sure, given the setting and the worldbuilidng of the book)

A neat, quick little sci-fi that felt like a cool, new cop drama/mystery Netflix mini-series with inception-like twists, turns, and questions about reality.

This was a fun, quick read. A nice little detective story with some sci-fi elements in it, I did find the premise interesting, the characters were fun and it was a good story. Some twists I could predict, some I did not all in all enjoyed my time with it.

Snapshot is the first of Brandon Sanderson's books that I've read and I loved it! It's the first sci-fi that I've read in a long time that I truly enjoyed.
It's a detective crime/thriller that's full of futuristic technology in an AU earth and it has such a great, twisty ending. As it is only 125 pages long I read it in about an hour so it was a nice change from some of the huge book I've been reading recently.
I'm definitely going to be purchasing some other books by this author!
Thank you so much to Gollancz for sending me a free copy of Snapshot.
