**This is part two of a duet**
Such a perfect ending for this duet!! Return to the Island picks up twenty two months after Redemption Island ends. Tack and Juliette have not found each other, but have instead grown on their own. Both are thriving at their new lives, but what will happen once they rediscover each other? This pair have so much to overcome, both obstacles from their pasts as well as new obstacles. I loved that their ending wasn’t smooth sailing, that they had to work towards their ending. Amazing finale!

Two people who come from very different backgrounds with very different family values & history but both looking for the same thing, love and acceptance. Neither know where to find it. They are brought together by a crime committed, you are left to wonder if forgiveness can ever be found. And yet, on an island these two people thrown together find redemption, forgiveness and eventually love. And then they are torn apart!
Life can be cruel, can these two unexpected soulmates find there way back to each other? Back to where it all began, on an island.
As a reader I felt Juliet's struggle to forgive Tuck for his part in a night she can never forget. Tuck strives to be a better man, but who defines that? His dad's definition is completely different than Juliet's. Friends, colleagues, even his mother has a different image Tuck is trying to live up to, can he please them all?
I have LOVED all of LB's work, it's hard to say I have a favorite. I think I'd say this is the most thought provoking and intense series she's written so far. Add this to your TBR list.

“This story came on like a storm………It consumed me. The idea of redemption, forgiveness, and love was so strong. It crept through my bones. I lived for these characters. And I hope you are living for them now as well.” ~L.B. Dunbar, author

I can’t think of a more apt description of how I felt reading this book and yes, I lived for these characters too. Stories that demand to be written--born from the author’s own marrow are by far my favorite reads. The emotion, turmoil, and confusion, in this book, screamed at me from its pages. I was a mess and in emotional turmoil myself. I couldn’t decide how I should feel. My common sense demanded one emotion, while my heart another. When right and wrong, good and bad, and love and lust are so entwined, it's hard to know how to unravel it all.

Tack and Juliet’s relationship was born in the most horrific of ways. One was a victim, the other the perpetrator, until the victim was no longer just a victim…..and became a perpetrator too. There was no easy way for these two. Actually, I’m not sure there should have even been a way at all, but love always seems to find one, if it’s strong enough.

This book, these characters, and the idea that started it all, redemption, forgiveness, and love, will be with me for a long time to come. One can only hope that a storm will blow in more stories for this author. In the meantime, I will be trolling her backlist.

You make me wild. Tame me.

A good ending to this duet. Well written. I do wish that there had been a little less angst, and a bit more second chance. It felt like they weren't happy for very long at any point in this part, but it was still a good read and fit well with the first part.

“I’ll go wherever you lead.” Translates to “I’ll read whatever Dunbar writes!”

What a story! You want to know how this book made me feel while I was reading it? I felt anger, sadness, hope, more anger, fear and So. Much Love! You want to know how this book made me feel by the end? Satisfied, a little swoony, happiness, curious even, and So. Much. Peace.

Dunbar continues to surprise and enthrall me with her magical words. I loved every twist in this story!! I cannot wait to see what else she writes!
