We have reached the classic 4th book cliffhanger, the classic 2x speed through spice scenes because they’re stalling the plot too much, the classic FMC dissolving into a dimensionless cum-seeking missile. I do enjoy my smut but at the end of the day I’m an English major with ADHD. My misandry also creeps in and I want to suggest maybe she finds a hobby outside of snake charming.

HOWEVER, all the work that goes into developing the kings’ characters at the detriment of Elise’s was well done and there’s mercifully less circular, stale problems than the ZA series. Lots of time spent with Baberiel and a pretty cool (potential?) plot twist in the mystery storyline. I’m glad they cut this one off at 5 books, I feel very much like I’m only up for one more. Like dicks in Elise, 4 was probably enough.

This one really brought out a lot of information and left on a huge cliffhanger. I was never a fan of reverse haram and still am not a huge fan BUT I love all the characters and it's growing on me.

This series gives me the same feelings zodiac academy did in the first couple books. I’m so glad there is only one more book in the series❤️ I’m stoked to see how it ends and how it will tie in with ZA.

DNF. I’m pulling the plug (45%). I initially liked the characters and plot but it just drags on to the point where I just don’t care anymore. I started ZA and RB when I was in a reading slump and just needed something that I could read pretty mindlessly while still being entertained and they served that purpose but I’m just over it and ready to move onto something else. Maybe I’ll try again in the future
