sometimes racist! which was frankly rather distracting from the general whimsy that was otherwise present.
however, i learned the word terpsichorean,
so i think i'll probably be insufferable this musical season.

A very fun, lyrical collection of children's poetry with lovely illustrations.
However the blatant anti-chinese sentiments are very sudden, and derailed any enjoyment I would've gotten from reading the source material that didn't make it into Cats: The Musical. I'm glad it was absent in "Cat Morgan" even though that poem didn't make the cut either. For such a short children's poetry collection, it really shouldn't have as much as it did. -1 star.
Specific poems with racist content:
Growltiger's Last Stand (Explicit use of the c slur, referring to Chinese people) and The Pekes and the Pollicles (refers to "The Heathen Chinese")
