If allergic to cats- you may find some trouble heeding Mr. Elliots' advice and facts.
So, just read it with good cheer -or (if you like) give it a sneer.
For I wouldn't blame you if your aversion to cats goes beyond to complete contempt.
Just know that you are in no danger of a sneeze...
Unless, of course, you've already met Mr. Mistofolees.

As a lover of the Musical CATS, it's hard to get through this book without singing. Most of the poems are fun, whimsical, and charmingly written. The only thing stopping me from a full 5 star rating was some outdated and politically incorrect language, which I found rather disconcerting from a modern standpoint.

I hope these poems entertained them. They entertained me, and this collection gets a slightly different review as it does indeed have a theme, and isn’t so much a collection as a book. Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats quickly became a new favorite of mine, and one I place on the revered top shelf...

You know what a cute collection of cat poems needs? Racism.
