I enjoyed that Rainbow Valley brought the focus back to the children while still keeping the adult storylines alive with the West sisters and Mr. Meredith in particular. It's odd to read an Anne of Green Gables book that seems to have so little with Anne, but the care of the children's stories is still abundantly clear in Montgomery's writing. Mary Vance drove me up the wall so I almost cringed every time she showed up on the page, but the Meredith children were lovely and Faith reminded me so much of Anne as a young girl that I definitely grew a soft spot for her.

The adults were also really fleshed out well in this book. Susan continues to be a dream and Miss Cornelia continues to annoy and entertain me all at the same time. Looking forward to starting on Rilla of Ingleside and closing the page on Anne's adventures!
