Dan Jurgen writes a great Superman story. Always has. Always will.

Dan Jurgens once again showing why he is one of the best Superman writers of all time, this volume is a fitting end to his latest run on our boy in blue. Jurgens fully gets what motivates Superman and how his beliefs are central to who he is as a hero and a character, and all are on full display in this one. My only complaint about Jurgens's latest run is that I wish it went on longer.

Booster gold is back and is fixing the timeline because Superman is gonna break it, wait that’s flashes job!!

This is really sad because I really loved the first four trades but this and the oz effect are really bad, I just felt like dan jurgens was under pressure because after this was the debut of Brian micheal Bendis.

Overall boring book

This book is pretty anticlimactic especially for all the hype regarding ‘the hood with the green hood’ but honestly it was just meh

The first arc was a lex/Superman team up which I didn’t care for, in fact I can’t even remember what happens

The oz effect. Booooring....l to an extent. Um there was like no action at all like I came to read action comics not jor-el comics and his dad is boring and the art is trash

This was meh don’t read it

The most directly tied to 'Rebirth' while directly tying back to the era that I began reading comics: The Death of Superman. It's a return to form and character that I've been missing. Where storytelling may be lacking at times - you can only see Superman punch Doomsday so many times - it's completely made up for in nostalgia.

So much of this was a huge waste of time. Issue after issue of collecting enemies only for one of them to take over, and then what was the freaking point of any of them going to the Phantom Zone? Zod seemed so mild compared to usual, like writers just can't use him to full effect.

This was so disappointing .

Dan Jurgens run in Action comics to this point has been superb and I'd say , his run returned this title back to it's glory, sadly this didn't work for me .

The plot in itself is filled with various plot holes and both Superman and Booster act opposite to how their characters are supposed to act , with Superman not caring about the timelines , to acting all stubborn and insisting on not returning . And don't even get me started on the Lois lane story line that turned her into a ninja .. hang on , I just realized , that storyline turned her into Batwoman , Katherine Kane . Ffs Jurgens

In the end , the story lacked any heart that previous Jurgens story had , part of it is maybe due to lack of Superman's interaction with his son and partly because of how out of character everyone is in this

So much Superman. What makes Superman fun is limitation of his powers and his ability to inspire hope and courage in others. This collection does exactly that. Facing off against some of his greatest foes, Superman needs all the help he can get.
