This one is SO MUCH BETTER than the first book. I liked the first one, but I loved this one.

For a while couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars but as the story went on the problem sorted itself out - halfway in I liked neither Adam nor Mia anymore.
Added the third star for old times sake and the few sentences about art that rang true.

yes, i cried again. what of it?
this sequel follows mia three years after the accident, through the eyes of adam her now ex-boyfriend. i enjoyed this better than the first, i loved seeing mia’s grief through adam’s eyes and how the accident affected him, and how he and mia find their way back to each other after all this time. this was beautifully written and i read it in one sitting, refusing to do anything else until i had read the final word on the page.

A beautiful continuation of Mia and Adam's story. I enjoyed reading their story from Adam's point of view. An intense romance that is emotionally wrenching. Adam is the sensitive type of man that anyone would love for their daughter to meet.

Well, what can I say?
I liked If I Stay. Didn't love it, but liked it. I gave it 3.5 stars, which is good! But this book... I was reading thoughtfully up until page 100, but then I got so frustrated nothing was happening I skimmed through most of the book.
Honestly, this book didn't add anything to the series. It was boring and waaaaaaaay too long. Ok, I get it: Mia dumped Adam three years ago, so he has feelings to let out, and stories to tell of his time after and without Mia, but I just DIDN'T CARE! I don't wanna know about your famous girlfriend, or the first band you were in, or anything at all! I just want, I don't know!, I wanted something more.
Adam goes on and on about his life. He tells SO many stories (of his childhood, of when Mia left, of his life now) that are SO irrelevant to the main story!! I skipped most of this chapters because they bored me. I wanted to read the ones with Mia in it, but even those were boring me!
Adam, as a character, was nothing like I remembered him from IIS. I remembered him being sweet and caring. In this book? He was just an egocentric, sometimes selfish, guy. Again, I GET IT, she dumped you, but you don't HAVE to be this mean.
Mia wasn't like I remembered her, either. She had a different voice, she wasn't the same cute, shy but funny girl she was in IIS, in my opinion. But again, this is 3 years after IIS, so it might just be me.
And it took almost the entire book for them to talk! To talk for real! I just kept skipping and skipping, thinking WHERE THE HELL IS THE EXPLANATION?! And when it came, I was not moved.
Overall I didn't like ANYTHING about this book. But I give this 2 stars because I think 1 star is too harsh, and I don't like giving them, but this doesn't come close to 3 stars, not one bit.

It annoyed me how it started in Adams point of view without telling us it confused me a lot when I started reading it, but I loved how at the end they got back together that made me smile
