read this book last year and just wanted to drop a review here :D !! i loved this book so much, probably because i felt a sense of belongingness to it since it's situated in the Philippines, and the essays are really enjoyable and somehow humorous which made it bearable to read.

"Many Mansions" evoked a weird sense of longing for my childhood because my family also used to keep moving from one house to another. My brother told me the author seems pretentious…don’t care though, I still enjoyed it.

Favorites:
1. essays about teenage infatuation
2. how 80's music shaped his generation
3. his experiences as a college student during the Marcos regime
4. him navigating life through adulthood.
