I was absolutely not prepared for the amount of racism that oozed from this book. And that's coming from someone who's read a lot of classics. Wow. Disgusting.

Bigotry aside, his formula of isolating one human so that they come face to face with an unspeakable cosmic horror in an uneasy setting gets um, bland after a very short while.

This man had a tiny brain.

This audio book was terribly long and boring. I have read some of the books in this collection. I thought I might enjoy them more having already read them and maybe I understand them better... I was wrong.
The stories were just as boring and anti-climactic as the first go round.
I think I was forcing myself to like Lovecraft's writing because I know it is responsible for so much of what horror writing is today. But blah blah blah.
oh well... I really tried.

thanks for taking the time to read my lack luster review about writing I thought was kind of lack luster.

yours,
Justin
