Okay so my takeaway from this is "The people who are trying to change the country for the better are still people, thus probably kind of an a**hole" - quoting from Overly Sarcastic Production, in the Grimdark video (with some changes)
If you can tolerate the cheating and love triangle subplot, the main story of this book is still good. You can still see how much the political changes in Indonesia affects the characters.
