I...did not like this book. It looks to be one of Mansell’s older titles and it has not aged well. The writing reads like a bad impression of Jilly Cooper, with lots of drunken antics, fat shaming, brand name-dropping, and pregnancy plots. Also, in the era of #metoo the romantic hero would likely have been arrested or vilified for consistently refusing to take no for an answer in any respect. This book gets an unequivocal no from me!

I love Jill Mansell's books, I always find them an enjoyable read. This book was no exception I found that I was hooked on the development of all the characters, wanting to find out what would happen in the end for them. Sometimes the plot became a bit predictable but would definitely recommend it.

This book really annoyed me at times. Too predictable and the characters were shallow.

Okay, I read this over two days. It did not make me want to kill myself, but it was a waste of time. Don't do it. I will try something else by Mansell, though, because I really enjoyed [b:Rumour Has It|6104943|Rumour Has It|Jill Mansell|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1328202735s/6104943.jpg|6282264].

This was definitely the worst Jill Mansell book that I have read. Her writing is never astounding, but it's *usually* always enjoyable. This drove me crazy. I didn't like any of the characters, and I HATED how stupid they were. Ross will never be trustworthy, Max will always think he's God's gift to man, Holly will always be a door mat, and Tessa will continue getting hurt. So disappointed in the story here. I really had to push myself to finish.

I love Jill Mansell for her quirky characters and a good laugh during this crazy stay-at-home time. She's a great beach read, even without the beach!

Wow, the romantic relationships got rather...complicated and intertwined and almost incestuous there. It was a quick read, but I didn't actually like any of the main characters--frankly, I thought that most of them were horrid individuals. I have a few other books by Jill Mansell sitting around--I hope they all aren't like this one!

Terrible heroes, both of them. Poor Adam.

I wanted to read a chick-lit, and I picked up this book. I did not like it very much. I did not like the characters. The book is too long. It could have been shorter.
