Thank you to Lauren Blakely and the team at Candi Kane PR for the advance copy of The What If Guy.

I am not saying this lightly this is probably the best book Lauren Blakely has ever written. It has the romance of some of her strongest series like Big Rock and The Heartbreakers. Mixed with the sexual intensity of the After Dark series. It has shown just how much her craft has matured over the years.

The What If Guy is the flirty, dirty, feel-good romance that I needed! Logan and Bryn completely pulled me into their story and I devoured this book!

The What If Guy is a fun, sweet, sexy romance that will have you laughing and swooning.

From the moment Bryn and Logan meet over a Snoopy lunch box there was a connection, however, it quickly turned into a missed connection. Bryn is a boss lady and she knows it. She is smart and gorgeous but when it comes to behind closed doors, she has a submissive side. Logan is just the man she needs. These two will melt your kindle but also have you laughing from the start. I couldn’t get enough of them. I couldn’t get enough of Bryn and Logan. I loved watching their relationship progress. Their ups and downs and the struggles.

The added POV from their two cats was hilarious. I mean, don’t we all wonder what I pets think?! I was living for these chapters. I loved getting a little more of Summer and Oliver. Plus, Fitz.

The What If Guy will check all your romcom boxes. It brings the heat, the laughs and the romance from the very start.

The What If Guy is the second book in the Guys Who Got Away series and it was such a fun and sweet read and I have been intrigued by single dad Logan since the end of book one!

Bryn and Logan meet in typical romcom fashion, they’re both going for the last Snoopy lunchbox when their hands brush against one another. So begins a battle of words over who gets the prize, with a lot of flirting thrown in too. When their meet cute ends unexpectedly with no way of contact, they must find another way back to each other. Bryn works as a VP for The Dating Pool, an online dating lifestyle magazine, and her friend realises this is the perfect opportunity for her to try out a new dating app, Missed Connections, where you place an ad for the person you missed and see if they respond. Bryn, doubtful at first, is suddenly amazed when she reconnects with Logan, and their first date ends with sparks flying everywhere. But when she turns up at work on Monday to meet the new owner of The Dating Pool, the last person she expects to be in the board room is Mr Lunchbox himself. Will they agree to keep their relationship professional and end things before they both get in too deep? Or is it too late?

This book had minimal drama and angst, maximum steam and such a sweet meet cute. Bryn was such a strong boss lady, I loved her independence, her lack of need for a man, only a want for the right one. She put herself first and always stayed true to herself. Logan was business-like on the outside and absolutely filthy in the bedroom. He could be his true self with Bryn, which he couldn’t with his ex, but his love for his daughter was the icing on the cake for this hero. Both Bryn and Logan had been hurt by past relationships and weren’t in a rush for anything new, but their initial connection was too strong to ignore, and they found their way back to one another through unconventional methods. Their bond over their cats and love for strangely named bands only made them more perfect for each other to me! I have never read a book where there are chapters from the point of view of the pet cats, but I have to say it was cute and different!

The What If Guy was such an easy read and I would recommend it to anyone who loves romcom movies, and I can’t wait for Fitz’s book next!

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*

Lauren has a way of writing popular tropes and crafting them in a way that feels brand new & exciting.

This cute-meet, steamy office romance packs all the feels that hit you straight in the heart then travels down to your gut with butterflies then a little lower the ignite serious heat.

Just like Bryn & Logan couldn’t resist each other, you won’t be able to resist their story.

I love how confident in themselves the main characters are. Not cocky. They own their uncertainties, they just know who they are. They know what they want. They’re mature.

This story is multiPOV. The cats POVs were cute & funny. I liked seeing what the H/h talked about when new events happened. Of course talking to besties is a must but this was a fresh way of getting inside the main characters head. They didn’t take away or distract from the plot.

Get. This. Book. You won’t regret it. LB never disappoints & she doesn’t start now.

Ps the audiobook is
