A lot of these were odd and I don’t think I quite got what was going on. Overall not a bad reading experience I just left kinda going ‘huh’ and that was it.

starts at a birth, ends at a funeral, hits everything in between.   an unsettling batch of short stories at the intersection of transness and body horror

Smart writing, interesting ideas, and enough moments of poetry to leave me curious reading more from this author.

Great collection of short stories that centres on trans characters and dips into horror, across time and realities.

imo the majority of the stories didn’t examine their themes/central messages for long enough, so they just fell flat instead of being……. evocative as short stories should be. maybe they just didn’t click with me but. premises were cool
