The whole idea of an 18-year-old high school senior and a 34-year-old man getting married and moving in together, even if it's just for health insurance reasons, really pushes my boundaries. That being said, Cole mostly made this book work for me. I loved the friendship and emotional connection between Skylar and Lucky. I am happy those things came first before they truly fell for each other in a romantic way. There was a whole lot of ups and downs with their relationship, but the ending made it worth it.

I don’t have too much to say negative about this book. It just wasn’t in my go to book. I’m glad I read it because I think the storyline was very niche. And it wasn’t like I didn’t enjoy reading it. It just not for me when it comes to 4 ⭐️ books. I am very happy for Jude and Skylar!

I read this for the marriage of convenience trope and in spite of the age gap. An 18 year old female with a 34 year old man was a little much for me but the marriage of convenience was worth it.

I did feel like it would have been better with less of an age gap because quite frankly she was way to trusting of a man she barely knew, but it is fiction...

I did like how as they got to know each other they fell for each other. But what I really liked was how supportive he was of her medical and mental health needs. I also liked how it brought awareness to both.
