I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more about the adventures of Merlin, Susan and Vivienne.
I continue to like the magic system that Nix has created and the conceit of the magical booksellers.
I'll be curious to see how Susan is treated and continues to grow going forward.

An enjoyable and YA-but-good-for-adults-too book that feels like the teen precursor to Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. Witty and an easy read crafted by an experienced writer, ‘booksellers and contemporary fantasy’ is pretty much my ideal genre. Would reread :)
Graphic: Car accident and Murder
Moderate: Kidnapping
Minor: Torture
