I wasn't sure whether to give this 3 or 4 stars, but I'm gonna give it 4 stars cause I really really enjoyed the last third of the book. up until like 60% it's not really interesting but that last part is really cool and picks up the pace a lot.

I also found the main character really relatable (in the beginning) and I LOVED the constant Taylor Swift references and the few references here and there of things that I love. (also FINALLY someone appreciates Shawarma, I've been having it since I was a kid since it's very common in my country and it's definitely underappreciated, and same Shane, I knew Shawarma before it was cool because of the avengers too 😭).

I loved the traveling she did when studying abroad and I loved that I read this while studying abroad too (even tho I'm much closer to home than she was).

Even tho I hated their names, I loved Pilot and Babe (like, what the hell are those names?). they were cool characters.

and I also loved the romantic relationship specially in the last part, they were adorable and funny. but I did not like some decisions they made (poor Amy bro, even tho I also didn't really like her because of one specific thing she did).

A study abroad semester in London. A chance to reinvent herself. A chance at love. And a little magic 🪄 to help along the way…

This book was adorable and I enjoyed it. Shane & Pilot are so cute 💗 So many fun plot twists and lots of relatable 2000s era things sprinkled throughout — no smartphones, old digital cameras, old taylor swift songs. If you’re looking for a light fun read this is it!

So.... this book was really good. Like, I thought it would be good, I just was not expecting it to be this good. Pilot and Shane kind of reminded me of Cath and Levi for some reason and I love Cath and Levi.

There was an element to this book that I was just not expecting going into this book that actually was really interesting and made me love the book more.

I know a lot of people complained about all of the pop cultural references but I loved it.

Obviously there were some mistakes throughout the book. Like small mistakes that kind of annoyed me a little but they didn’t really deter me from the original story. I feel like I’m still getting off my reading high so I can’t form proper thoughts right now but I did really enjoy this book.

*Also, side note: I got this signed by Christine Riccio and Jessethereader who wrote BTS is life! In my book and it just makes me so happy.
