I wasn't sure whether to give this 3 or 4 stars, but I'm gonna give it 4 stars cause I really really enjoyed the last third of the book. up until like 60% it's not really interesting but that last part is really cool and picks up the pace a lot.

I also found the main character really relatable (in the beginning) and I LOVED the constant Taylor Swift references and the few references here and there of things that I love. (also FINALLY someone appreciates Shawarma, I've been having it since I was a kid since it's very common in my country and it's definitely underappreciated, and same Shane, I knew Shawarma before it was cool because of the avengers too 😭).

I loved the traveling she did when studying abroad and I loved that I read this while studying abroad too (even tho I'm much closer to home than she was).

Even tho I hated their names, I loved Pilot and Babe (like, what the hell are those names?). they were cool characters.

and I also loved the romantic relationship specially in the last part, they were adorable and funny. but I did not like some decisions they made (poor Amy bro, even tho I also didn't really like her because of one specific thing she did).

Spoiler the more of these paranormal esc romance books I read, the more I realize how much o love this genre even though it is so ridiculous. The funny thing about this one though, was that I thought it was going to be a completely normal romance book, I didn't even know there was time travel!! Which, arguably, made that twist so much cooler and the fact that it comes halfway through the book shows the balls this writer has. Fr, I'm so close to rating this book a solid four out of five, the only thing keeping me from it is that there are way too many Lost references and wayyyy too many instances of Shane having her chair fall every time she stands up (it's actually ridiculous to the point of it could easily be made into a game of shots). With this, a couple instances of clunky writing, and a little bit of Pilot being a little too harsh at moments and also being a little too eager to break up with his girlfriend to be with Shane.
All in all though, this book was solid and a fun time, I hope Christine will end up making many more books to come.
