"It's weird how we have to get a little older to realize that people are just people."
Well, another book finished. What do I think? I made the mistake of reading the reviews on Goodreads, which influenced what I thought of the book for a while, but in the end, I think this was an actual good book!
I love the author, Christine, for dedicating this book for teens and college age students. I've read a majority of high school books, but it was refreshing to read this one, as well as again reinforcing that "You miss 100% shots that you don't take." Unfortunately, life doesn't have a time machine. :))

I have so much to say about this book. I have never had such a like/hate relationship with a main character as I did with Shane. This first part of this book I really enjoyed the setting and the story but I hated Shane so much. She's not just scared - she seems like she might be on the spectrum. Her fear was so aggravating and her relationship with Pilot seemed so in her head. The second part of the book I enjoyed the story and I really liked the plot - though I still hated their whole relationship build up. I felt like Pilot gave no hints and nor did Shane that they wanted each other. Overall I would read again just for the last part. Liked the idea, and not the outcome.
