*read as single issues*
What I like about the Fantastic Four is how close they are to eachother and their relationships, the are literally family (which we are also told approximately 20 times in this volume). I think these character dynamics are also what made me enjoy these issues although the story felt a bit lackluster because it mostly dealt with getting the team back together and setting everything up. However I‘m interested to see where the story will go now that everything seems set up.

The art was also fine although it seemed somewhat inconsistent.

Everything I wanted from an FF reunion. The family had been separated first by Johnny's apparent death years ago, then again after Secret Wars and the combining of the dimensions. They are better together and this sweet, funny, action-filled volume proves that out. Good stuff, and good use of the FF's extensive supporting cast.

Beyond the initial excitement of "oh, crap, the FF are finally back to the comics" and, also, them being my first intro to superhero comics, there's little to warrant a read here. The first issue is nice enough and there are occasional jokes that land well but, overall, this is largely unexciting and average.

My childhood called and decided to punch me in the feelings. HARD.
I've never read an FF comic before, unless you count Marvel 1602, and this did not disappoint! Even though I have no idea what happened previously, and had no knowledge of there being a second Richard's child, this a fantastic (pardon the pun) read! It brought me back to childhood, where I grew up on the original Fantastic Four movie, and reignited my love for them. I'll definitely be reading more in the future!
