Interesting but not quite as enlightening as I was hoping? There were some takes that I'd have to look more into but seemed reductive (like Joan of Arc being transgender just because she wore masculine clothing?), but I also learned about a lot of really interesting behavior in animals and facts about how sex develops in human fetuses!

The first half of this book is AMAZING, and everyone should read it.
The second half is somewhat less interesting.
