In earlier books in the series, there has been something hinted at between Smith and Emilia and now we finally find out why. It soon becomes apparent that the chemistry from two and a half years ago, has not disappeared. Smith is a very private person, who really doesn't want to be the focus of the player profile but he knows that for Emilia to get her promotion, he will have to do it. To do a player profile, Smith and Emilia will have to spend a lot of time together, resisting their attraction and sticking to the no fraternization policy that has been put in place at the Comets. It was funny, emotional, hot, steamy and heartbreaking all at once. Wonderful addition to the series!

“While I might love the game of hockey and you guys too, there’s someone else I love more. And I’d choose her every time.”

Such a great book!

I enjoyed book #4 in the Carolina Comets series. Emilia & Smith’s journey was funny and steamy. Their connection could definitely be felt throughout the story. I loved getting glimpses of the other characters in the series again.

Tim Paige & Callie Dalton did an amazing job portraying all the characters in this book.
