I'll say that I think I enjoyed this because I listened to the audiobook. But I don't know that I would've enjoyed it otherwise.
I know the author is a good speaker. Definitely a great writer. But I wasn't particularly moved. I think what's more moving is that a young black woman read the poem. But it was just a poem. She could've been reading anything, and people would've fauned.

Standing forever with Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, and Richard Blanco. Witnessing this history was so necessary and will stay with me forever. I enjoyed this encapsulation immensely, though I wish this volume included for background of the insurrection.

I want to read this little book until all the negative vibes have left my bloodstream. The negative vibes that built up there during the Trump administration. This poem, and what it represents, is a good place to start.
