So very happy this is my hundredth book this year, and the one that wins my 2019 reading goal. I love you so much, Hilda <3

I adore Hilda but man this one kind of freaked me out-I wasn't prepared for her new look.

I thought I already did a summary or review for this one but...maybe it didn't post.

Anyways. This is the final installment of the Hilda series where Hilda has been swapped with a Troll child and Hilda has been turned into a Troll. Hilda learns more about the trolls in the mountain, and how they're uneasy and feel a calling towards the town that wants to keep them away. Hilda's mom deals with a troll turned human child while trying to find Hilda, trying to find a way into the mountain, and staying away from these enforcers that seem to want to fight the trolls.

This was complicated, and there is more at work than it seems. Hilda has found an large troll that says he can turn her back but she has to do some things for him. All while both the humans in the town and the trolls in the mountain want to start a war.

After the unsettling ending of [b:Hilda and the Stone Forest|27134675|Hilda and the Stone Forest (Hilda, #5)|Luke Pearson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1467164778l/27134675._SX50_.jpg|47171875], I couldn't wait to find out what happened. I finally got to read this book and, of course, I loved it.

As with the other books in the series, the story is awesome, the artwork is superb, and everything about it is just fantastic. I love reading about Hilda's adventures and it was especially exciting to get some history on Trolberg and the trolls who live around it in this one.

A fantastic read with splendid coloring. There is so much going on in this one and the ending was so satisfying. I loved it. Now that I've finished the graphic novels and watched the show, I'm interested to read the chapter books next.
