This is my third book by Alice Hoffman and it did not disappoint. I think I picked it up on a "Kindle discount day" just based on the author's name alone and I'm so glad I did. Hoffman knows how to describe characters and feelings, and in this book she did a great job of telling the story from the point of view of a teenage girl. I appreciated the multi-generationalness in this book, and a good look at how they all impact each other.

All in all, a great book. Can't wait to read more by Alice Hoffman.

Not as magical as some of her other stories. The characters were just okay , no one to root for, no one to hate.

This is a bit wonderful and a lot weird.

I am a great fan of Alice Hoffman, but will say this one was not one of my favorites. I never got a real sense of any of the characters.

Pretty depressing, but mostly redeemed itself in the end.
