I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review and blog tour can be found on *Milky Way of Books*

Anton and Mia's story is one of heartache, longing and the power you discover inside yourself. Mia suffers abuse from her husband while at the same time she tries to hide her own wounded heart. Anton is a man who had fallen in love with her long before he truly met her.

The plot is steady and the development of the characters is very well written. I also enjoyed the side characters and I wonder who will be next in this new series. Very emotional and a recommended read.

 Too cheesy and too corny.

Its a shame since I enjoy Miss Rothert's other books. However in Anton, I find it flat boring. The author does not shades a light why Anton choose to be celibate. What is it about Mia? To me Mia is also flat dimensional character.

The characters development is flat. I feel the chemistry between Mia and Anton is cheesy. And there is no explanation why Mia keeps her secret while being with Anton. I mean Anton waits for 3 years for her and she still keeping secret from him? I don't understand.

This is a good story.
The heroine is married but trying to obtain a divorce from a cheating, emotional abusive husband who won't let her go.
The Hero is amazing. He is not a man whore type, despite being surrounded by offers and in an environment where he could be. In fact since he met the heroine 2 (?) years ago he's had no interest in any other woman despite the fact he knows she's unavailable and it's a line he wouldn't cross.
His brother and fellow teammates make fun of him about his celibacy but he doesn't care. How refreshing.
Despite the heroine being married, there is no cheating between the Hero and heroine.
The Hero has feelings for her but is supportive of her getting out of this toxic relationship.
Even after he divorce it takes some time for them to be intimate.
HEA.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.

One thing I didn't understand was the cover, it gives the impression it's a book filled with sex but that's not the case.
