Full Trilogy Review (Books 1-3): A delightful LitRPG about a Teddy Bear that gains sentience and slowly begins to level up and understand the world around him. Like, literally - upon his creation, he doesn't have enough INT or WIS to understand much of anything. As he slowly grows in power, the worldbuilding itself picks up and reveals a pretty fascinating RPG system and storyworld.

Book 2 especially expands the cast tremendously, in ways that aren't always easy to follow. Some secondary and tertiary characters are also a bit caricature-ish; the absolute worst part of these books is the author's insistence on sticking with accents in the writing. And sometimes his puns, but I mostly forgive them. Except where they intersect with some mildly suggestive anime trope yellow flags, but so far, nothing really steps over a line (even if they get pretty damn close).

4.8/5: Loved this story and all the characters. This is the first LitRPG I have read and while all the upgrades and level ups did not appeal to me and only slowed the story down it was still great! If your a gamer or not this is a great book to read.

Complete cuteness overload and a wonderful story as well, I’m simply in love with this book.

Plain and simple, 90% of this book is Winnie the Pooh: The RPG. It is mellow, touching, and compelling. There isn’t a lot of plot, nor is there a lot of LitRPG junk, it is just kind of an experience. While not riveting, I was interested in where it was going and what was happening. That is, until the last chapter (each chapter is quite long) where it did a complete tonal and plot shift from a mellow coming of age to a political and violent battle. It caused such whiplash for me that I lost all interest and skipped to the end. I’m still interested in what ends up happening, but after that weird shift, I just don’t care enough to waste more money and time on it.

I don’t recommend this book.

Threadbare is the most Adorable golem you've ever met. He has so many levels in the Adorable skill, you might have to pass a Willpower check to not turn to mush in his presence.

Being a newly created toy golem, Threadbare cannot read the system prompts that invade his vision. He has no mouth so he cannot talk to his girl or anyone else to ask questions. Nodding in response to questions seems to make the little girl happy. Thinking "yes" makes the text disappear. Threadbare is the most agreeable little guy.

The premise is adorable but there is a lot of swearing in Stuff and Nonsense, so don't pick it up for young kids. It's more appropriate for teens and adults who want something cute but cheeky.

It's not all hugs and tea parties though. Threadbare has many adventures - on his own, with his girl, and even with the family's very large housecat.

Be cautioned this book ends on a cliffhanger. You'll want more but thankfully this is a complete series, at six books.

4.5 stars. Highly recommended for fans of the litrpg genre, especially those who want an interesting concept; in this case the main character is a golem that gains sentience. Will definitely pick up the next in the series.

I loved this book so much! It was cute and adorable and funny and heartbreaking and...just...amazing!

I highly recommend this to anyone, do not be deterred by the fantasy or litrpg elements.
